SUM32
Analog 32 channels active summing amplifier with stereo insertion.Exist in 24 channels, blue, no meters

SUM32 comes from an Alternate Soundings summing module ( 500 series), produced for selected client.

It was so good that this 500 series module (M26 AL.SO)  was used in stadiums for summing the digital console busses for one of the most purple and famous musician on tour!

 

SUM32 is a summing box, 32 input with stereo insert ( MIX insert or channels 1to 8 INSERT).

Please, note that you can order a 24 channels, no meters.Blue, no client logo,.

We use only through hole components ( excepted if no replacement part available), in order to increase reliability and reparability.Music instruments are long term use ( yes, we use vintage 60’s amps or consoles…).

The construction avoid bad issues…It mean that you can’t saturate the machine if your levels are under 24dBu; even if they are identical, in phase, maximum level! If you have selected the good gain position…

Gain positions:

– 5 ( max gain) : unity gain for one signal sent on each side ( L,R)

– 4 : – 6dB gain ( compared to position 5 )

– 3: unity gain for 4 pairs ( 8 channels )  of signal sent to M32 ( i.e. a full DSUB connector signal)

– 2 : unity gain for 8 pairs ( 16 channels ) of signal sent ( 2 full DSUB connector signal)

– 1 : unity gain for 12 pairs ( 24 channels ) of signal sent ( 3 full DSUB connector signal)

 

Secret trick : if you turn CCW, there is one more position. For unity gain, when 32 ( 16+16) signals are injected to the 4 DSUB on the rear panel.This is a very low gain, this is the starting point…and normally not your final setting.

 

Vu meter on left and right with a clever -12dB switch in order to look at the actual levels.

Output level control.

THD : all input feeded with +24dBu / 1 kHz, gain at secret position: 0,010 % THD

Bandwith +/- 0,2dB : 10Hz to 120 KHz

We construct analog audio stuff.Due to components tolerances, engraving just reflects average and not exact values.

Logo engraving needs a vectorized file.

Price is for a standard one color engraving.

Some logos could need to much complicated for engraving, you will be asked to send us a simplified version.
